Mini Shoots - December 2023

220 square feet of dedicated studio space

My home photography studio in Spondon, Derby, is a unique space. Private and literally homely, with real wood floors, large Victorian windows, a delicately restored original Victorian fire surround, and of course professional studio lights and cameras. It's my own space dedicated solely to my photography business, for my client experience, and for my creative processes - both with the camera, and the post-processing afterwards. A fully creative space for both during a photoshoot and after it.

Have you liked what you have seen?

A photography studio like this is special, and the only one I know of in Spondon (Derby). I am fortunate to have it, and it has taken me many years to get to a stage where I could have it. It is not a huge space, but that adds to its charm. For individual portrait sessions, or for small groups of clients, it works really well. I can use window light if necessary, or a choice of up to three dedicated flash heads with softboxes and umbrellas to emit creative lighting.

I have a music system, guest WiFi, coffee and heat! So its perfect all year round for creative photography, with any lighting conditions I need.
